Simone A. Francis (she/her) is a first-gen West Indian educator grounded in community and creative practice.

Simone (she/her) is the Founder of Anansi Creative Studio and Creative Director of the Storytellers Portrait Series. She is passionate about harnessing the power of storytelling + creative practice to curate community-oriented activation spaces rooted in social impact. Known for her innovative approaches to cultivate transformative spaces, her visionary leadership style has advanced diversity, equity, inclusion, access, and belonging priorities in institutions and organizations, both locally and internationally.

Over the years, Simone has spearheaded diversity initiatives and led strategic projects in a plethora of environments, including but not limited to NYU, NYU Shanghai, Berklee College of Music, Boston Conservatory at Berklee, Indiana University Bloomington, Stanford University's Pre-Collegiate Studies Program, Diversity Abroad, and the American College Personnel Association.

She earned her Master of Science in Education in Higher Education and Student Affairs at Indiana University Bloomington and her Bachelor of Arts in Biology from New York University. She is currently a Masters in Public & Nonprofit Management Policy Candidate at NYU and a community impact practitioner in NYC. Simone resides in Brooklyn, NY, the ancestral homelands of the Lenape people.
